See it in action
A real-looking small business, Hearth & Candle Co., with ten months of books. This is what the Tax Center shows them.
Your whole tax picture, from your books
Income, expenses and profit so far, the full-year projection, and exactly what to pay the IRS and your state each quarter. Anything that would make the number wrong is flagged at the top.
Why it matters: No spreadsheets and no guessing. The number updates every time money comes in or goes out.
Schedule C, payments and deadlines in one place
Every expense lands on its tax line. Record a payment and the plan shrinks to match. Below it, every deadline for your business and state, including reminders Aiva set for you.
Why it matters: Deadlines come to you by email a week and a day ahead, so a penalty never sneaks up on you.
Check any state in seconds
Pick a state and your profit for a planning estimate, payment dates and local taxes to watch, for all 50 states and DC.
Why it matters: Moving, or working across state lines? See the difference before you decide.
Everything your taxes need, in one place
- Your books become your tax return
- Every bookkeeping category maps to its Schedule C line: advertising to line 8, software and supplies, meals at the 50% the law allows, cost of goods sold. Income and expenses add up to your real profit as you go, not in a panic in March.
- Bring your books from anywhere
- Already on QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks or Wave? Import your customers, items and invoices in minutes, add bank statements, and BlissPoint Bookkeeping takes it from there, categorized for taxes.
- A readiness check before any number
- Uncategorized expenses, missing receipts and unreconciled accounts are flagged first, so the estimate you see is one you can trust. Aiva fixes them with you in a few clicks.
- Federal plan that avoids the penalty
- Profit so far is projected to the full year, then turned into income tax, self-employment tax and the safe-harbor payment (IRC §6654) that keeps the IRS underpayment penalty off your back.
- Deadlines built for you, reminders sent for you
- Quarterly estimates, your return and extension, S corp and partnership returns on March 15, W-2s and 1099s on January 31, and your state’s own dates. Weekend and holiday dates move to the next business day automatically. Email reminders a week and a day before.
- Aiva sets reminders when you ask
- “Remind me to send receipts to my accountant on the 10th.” Done. Tell her you paid the quarterly estimate and she records it, so the next payment shrinks to match.
- State tax for all 50 states and DC
- Flat, graduated or no income tax, the 2026 rate, estimated-payment and filing dates (including Hawaii, Iowa and Virginia’s different calendars and California’s 30/40/0/30 split), local income taxes to watch, and the state’s revenue department.
- Kept current every year
- A yearly review checks that the tax figures for the new year are loaded, that every state rate is confirmed, and that every source link still opens. Anything not yet confirmed is clearly marked, never passed off as certain.

- “Remind me to send my receipts to Dana on March 1.”
- “I paid $2,000 to the IRS today.”
- “What would moving from California to Texas save me?”
She reads your books, cites the law behind each answer and points out what to fix before you trust a number.

Questions
How do I connect my bookkeeping to my taxes?
In BlissPoint, the bookkeeping and the tax tools share the same books. Each category carries its tax line, so the Tax Center reads your income and expenses directly and builds your Schedule C and estimate. Moving from QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks or Wave takes a few minutes with the built-in importers.
When are quarterly estimated taxes due in 2026?
April 15, June 15 and September 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027, for federal tax. Most states use the same dates; Hawaii (the 20th), Iowa (the last day of April, June and September, and January 31) and Virginia (May 1 for the first payment) differ.
How much state income tax will I owe?
It depends on your state. Nine states have no income tax on wages (Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming); others charge a flat rate such as Arizona’s 2.5% or Illinois’ 4.95%, or graduated rates up to 13.3% in California. Use the state rate checker on this page for a planning estimate.
Can Aiva remind me about tax deadlines?
Yes. The Tax Center lists every deadline that applies to you and emails you a week and a day before each one. Ask Aiva to add your own, such as sending documents to your accountant, and tell her when you pay so your plan updates.
How do I avoid the IRS underpayment penalty?
Pay at least the smaller of 90% of this year’s tax or 100% of last year’s (110% if last year’s adjusted gross income was over $150,000) through withholding and estimated payments, spread across the four due dates. The Tax Center works this out from your books.
How do you keep tax rates up to date?
Federal figures come from the IRS’s yearly inflation revenue procedure, and state rates from each state and published state rate tables. A review runs every year (and checks links monthly); anything not yet confirmed for the current year is labeled so you know to double-check it.
Does BlissPoint file my tax return?
No. BlissPoint and Aiva prepare the numbers, plan payments and keep you on schedule. You or your preparer file the return, using the year-end pack from your books. Aiva is not a CPA, enrolled agent or attorney.
Estimates are for planning. BlissPoint and Aiva explain tax law and do the math; they aren’t a CPA, enrolled agent or attorney and don’t file returns. More: AI tax help · Tax Finder.
