Invoice access

How to share invoicing access with your accountant or team

In BlissPoint Access you give your accountant or a teammate their own sign-in in under a minute. You decide what they can do in plain words, and you can end it any time, or have it end by itself. Accountants are free.

Share access in four steps

  1. Open Invoicing and choose Share access. It sits at the top of Invoicing and Bookkeeping, and under Settings → Share access.
  2. Type their email. Your accountant, bookkeeper or teammate. They get an email with a link to join.
  3. Pick what they can do. Choose in plain words: view and download, also fix the books, send invoices, or view invoices only.
  4. Add an end date if you like. Their access stops by itself on that day (handy after tax season) and you get an email.

What each person can do

Accountant: view and download
Sees invoices, payments, bills, your books and reports, and downloads them. Changes nothing. Free.
Accountant: can also fix the books
Also categorizes transactions, reconciles, and fixes invoices and bills. Free.
Team member: invoicing
Creates, sends and follows up on invoices and estimates, and records payments. No access to the books.
View invoices only
Sees invoices and who has paid. Can’t change or send anything.

Security that goes further than most accounting software

Their own sign-in
No shared passwords. Each person signs in as themselves, and you see when they were last active.
Only the tools you choose
Settings, billing and your Password Safe stay yours alone.
Remove access in one click
It ends right away, on every device they use.
Access that ends by itself
Set an end date and it stops on that day, with an email to you. Most accounting tools make you remember to remove people.
Require two-step sign-in
One switch makes everyone you share with use an authenticator code before they can open your tools.
Breached passwords blocked
Passwords found in known data breaches are refused when anyone signs up or changes a password.
New-device alerts
You get an email when your account signs in on a device it hasn’t used before.
Encrypted
Every connection uses HTTPS, and sensitive details such as tax IDs and calendar keys are encrypted at rest.

Questions

How do I share invoicing access with my accountant?

Open Invoicing, choose Share access, type your accountant’s email, pick “Accountant: view and download” (or “can also fix the books”), and send. They get an email, create their own sign-in, and see your invoices, bills and books. Accountants are free.

How do I give my team access to invoices?

Choose Share access in Invoicing, enter each teammate’s email and pick “Team member: invoicing”. They can create, send and follow up on invoices without seeing your books.

Can my accountant see my invoices without my password?

Yes. Never share your password: invite them instead. They sign in as themselves and see only the tools you choose.

Can I limit how long someone has access?

Yes. Add an end date when you invite them or later. Access stops by itself on that day and you get an email.

How do I remove someone’s access to my invoices?

Open Share access and choose the trash icon next to their name. Their access ends immediately.

Does my accountant need to pay?

No. Accountants don’t use a paid seat.

Can I move my invoices from QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks or Wave?

Yes. Export your customers, products and invoices as CSV files and upload them on the Switch page. You see a preview of what will be added before anything is saved.

Does BlissPoint sync live with QuickBooks or Xero?
